Our Story

Columbia Chin Christian Church was established by Chin believers seeking to worship God in their native language and preserve their rich cultural heritage while building a vibrant faith community in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Chin people, originally from the Chin State of Myanmar, carry a deep tradition of Christian faith that stretches back generations. Our church honors this legacy while embracing our new home and reaching the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Today, we are a growing community united by our love for God, our commitment to serving others, and our desire to preserve our God-given cultural identity for generations to come.

Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God — the supreme authority for faith and practice.

Salvation by Grace

We believe salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose from the dead.

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism.

The Trinity

We believe in one God eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
